Maintain a Healthy, Strong Smile with Dental Crowns, Onlays, and Bridges

Your teeth are strong but not infallible. At Mashni Dentistry, we offer dental crowns, onlays, and bridges to restore your teeth to their healthy state. Whether it’s cavities, cracks, or missing teeth, we provide top-tier restorations to help you feel like yourself again. Rebuild and refresh your smile with restorations that deliver beautiful, long-lasting results.

What are dental onlays?

Tooth damage rarely occurs predictably. Sometimes, you may develop small cavities or cracks that can be easily fixed with dental fillings. At times, the tooth may be too structurally damaged, which requires full tooth coverage with a crown. But what about cases that fall somewhere in between mild and severe? That’s where dental onlays come in.

If you have medium-sized damage, an onlay may be the perfect choice. It fits over the weakened area and reinforces it. Think of inlays as partial crowns. They repair significant tooth damage without covering the whole tooth. This helps preserve more of your natural tooth structure.

What are dental crowns?

When fillings and onlays are insufficient, dental crowns offer the ultimate restoration of your teeth. A dental crown is a custom-made “cap” that covers the remaining tooth structure to restore its shape and function. Because they offer full tooth coverage, dental crowns provide several functions, including:

  • Repair significant damage: A crown is the perfect solution for a severely damaged or decayed tooth.
  • Strengthen a weakened tooth: A crown restores your tooth’s strength if it has been significantly weakened due to trauma, a root canal, or a large filling.
  • Enhance aesthetics: We can use a crown to improve the aesthetic appeal of a misshapen or discolored tooth.
  • Replace a missing tooth: We can combine crowns with bridges or implants to fill the gap left by a missing tooth.

We utilize state-of-the-art materials and technical excellence to craft one-of-a-kind crowns in East Lashing and the surrounding communities. Each crown is customized to deliver durable, comfortable, and natural-looking results.

What are dental bridges?

Unlike crowns and onlays, dental bridges don’t repair damage. Instead, they are designed to replace a few missing teeth in a row. A bridge is made of one or more artificial teeth supported by crowns on the neighboring teeth. This creates a stable, secure restoration that resembles your natural teeth. You can chew, laugh, and speak with confidence again. Bridges also help maintain your facial structure and prevent the remaining teeth from shifting.

Do my dental restorations look natural?

Whether you want a crown, onlay, or bridge, you can expect natural-looking outcomes in our office. We use life-like materials, such as porcelain or composite, to achieve results that blend seamlessly with the surrounding teeth. Our patients are pleased to discover that our restorations are virtually indistinguishable, even when used on front teeth.
